My name is Joseph. I’m an educated game designer and self-taught programmer, and this website is a showcase of my work.

I love working with my team members, empowering them to contribute their brilliant ideas, helping them transform those ideas into complete designs, and creating developer tools to accelerate bringing those designs to life.

Begone Beast

A cooperative game where players play as children, plunging into spooky environments to banish dangerous horror-inspired demons. Armed with flashlights, snacks, and lots of screaming, the kids are the perfect cast to get to the bottom of these “Scooby Doo”-esque mysteries.

Role: Gameplay Engineer

Rocococo ~ Audiogame Fantastiqué

An audio game designed to provide an immersive game experience to vision-impaired gamers. Players take on the role of a detective in a narrative-driven “French Revolution”-punk story, assisting the robotic royal butler in reassembling catchy synth-pop music tracks while evading the attention of the Queen.

Role: Lead Unity Engineer

Time on project: 1 year, 9 months

Tools

DigiPen Level Maker

A tool created for the benefit of its namesake institution. The editor aims to provide students with a tool to study the fundamentals of level design by exposing a standalone interface for creating 2D platformer levels, with an emphasis on rapid prototyping.
